The Office of Academic Affairs and the Center for Ethics and Leadership were pleased to co-host the Most Reverend John McCarthy Lecture Series on October 26. Lecturer Rev. Thomas P. Rausch, S.J., Ph.D. of Loyola Marymount University spoke of POPE FRANCIS: RECLAIMING THE VISION OF VATICAN II. When the cardinals elected Pope Francis, they had reform of the Roman Curia very much in mind. But Francis has experienced considerable pushback in his efforts to renew the Church. Dr. Rausch talked about the steps Pope Francis has taken and also answered audience questions about the spirituality and religious preferences of the next generation.
