JUVENILE JUSTICE IN TEXAS
The Center for Ethics and Leadership invites students, faculty and staff to hear Karen Roe speak on Juvenile Justice in Texas on November 15th at 4:30 pm in Fleck 314.
Karen Roe worked as an attorney in the juvenile justice field for almost 25 years, both in the juvenile probation system and for the agency that provides long-term incarceration of juvenile offenders.
She will provide an overview of the system used in Texas to address problems created by juvenile offenders and how it differs from methods used with adults, as well as recent changes taken by the state in its approach to this issue.
Karen is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and Southwestern University.
