Then, she returned to TEA for a year before her (then) soon to be husband was commissioned as a State Trooper and stationed in Freer, Texas. After their wedding and a long job search, she finally joined him and together they set up their home in Alice, Texas in 2009. Only by then, they also had a third wheel-- a baby girl! In addition to starting their life as a party of three, and getting down to business in her new job as Certification Director at Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK). In 2011 Daniella completed her Master’s degree at Texas State University in Public Administration. Later that year, they became a family of four!
Daniella’s role at TAMUK requires that she know how to talk to students, staff, faculty, stakeholders, and various administrators at state agencies. She says, “It's so much fun to switch hats between creating catchy flyers and Facebook posts for our students to formal technical writing for our administrators to something sort of in the middle when I go into classes to recruit for our teacher preparation programs.”
In the Summer of 2013, Daniella started the final stretch of her career as a student by enrolling in the doctoral program at TAMUK for Educational Leadership. She’s looking forward to writing "Dr." before her name soon.
Daniella wants the St. Edward’s University faculty to know, “I will be forever grateful for the skills I learned at SEU in the Communication and English Writing and Rhetoric programs. If there is one thing that every supervisor or co-worker has said I do well, it's Communication, and that makes me proud! There is no presentation, paper, email, letter, or status update that scares me because I know what I am doing, I know my audience, and I know my purpose. How could I not? I was trained by the best!”
